Why we are so determined to contact you via email

The communication with our clients before and inbetween classes, will be mainly internet and email based, because it is so time efficient.

DogBasics is only 1 of 4 businesses I run, so between holding classes, walking my boarding and day care dogs, designing and maintaining web sites and dealing with advertisers for LocalPetPeople (and UKdogsitters, UKdogwalkers, UKhousesitters, UKhorsecare, UKpettaxi, UKsmallpets, UKgroomers and UKdogtrainers), I find very little time in my day to use the phone, chasing up clients.

By using email I can contact everyone in a group email, attach all your paperwork (which is also much more environmentally friendly, providing you don't print out all the material, but read it on your computer). At times when we have to reschedule a class, etc, it is great to be able to email the whole group and allow you to email the whole group back, which saves a lot of time.

All the dates and times for the classes are posted on this web site and I send out email newsletters with information you need to read. The other plus side of email contact is that I can deal with it late at night or first thing in the morning (I sometimes get up at 3am!) without worrying about waking or disturbing anyone.

That is why you need an email address to come to our training classes. I realise this must sound bizarre, turning away potential clients because they don't have email, but I don't have time to sit and ring around to people, print and post all the paperwork, etc. The dog training business doesn't generate enough of a salary to cut out any of the other businesses. I do dog training because I love it, but it does mean that the dog training work has to fit in with my life, not the other way around.
